One of my clients asked me to make a tape of goodies I might spin at their event. They had very specific requests including I shoot video verses a mixtape, that I include rock, hip hop, and electro. No probs! I had so much fun and they enjoyed the tape so much I figured Id share. There’s a little ode to boycrazy in here just for kicks. Enjoy #musicmonday

Come out and play with us going to be lots o fun. The last time I rocked a Love-made event Fatima Robinson was on the dance floor rightous, Prince was in a booth in the corner with his entourage, and members of the Black Eyed Peas – I recall just Ap.de.ap – were voguing or something. The place was packed, there were about a thousand to one women to men ratio and we (the djs) had been specifically asked by Fatima not to play anything from the radio. Umm, ya sure! I can do that. Talk about ‘quite a gig’. It was funky fresh!

Thanks to my pals over at The Flash Dance I got the chance to rock it at the beautiful Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. Denise and Jasper were the lucky couple taking the leap and I was the lucky gal DJing their ridiculously stunning wedding. They designed everything themselves from the invitations to the dinner menus. Check their crazy bohemian style, love!

A new Armani Exchange store just opened up on Robertson Blvd. have you been yet? The store looks pretty cool just finished my set spun there this evening. look at this awesome speaker collage behind my turntables. Wish I had one in my living room.

I have a new found respect for Miss showstopper Janelle Monae. She never left the dance floor all night and her band members were just the sweetest. Bruno Mars made all the girls melt. and me? well I had fun too.

took a few photos but most of them came out pretty blurring in the dark…since a flash at a concert is no bueno and a little distracting. Kinda looks like a red light special, her siloheutte is so angelic. I like it.

Bruno Mars really blew me away. I prefer an instrument playing artist any day, sorry B just don’t do it for me.

Janelle was too busy boogie dancing center floor so I opted for this picture with her cut out and sweet guitarist. look at that perm, so silky (pronounced with an a, like silka)! Good times. Chow for now xo

I’m amazed sometimes when gigs like this one fall into my lap, but I’m not complaining. Opening up for her both nights if you’re in town should come check us out she’s wickedly entertaining live – oh and Bruno Mars will be there too, he’s soo hot right not. Not to be misses!

This is exciting for me…my first trip to SXSW Yaaa!! And I’m going not to spectate but to work!! Even more yaaa. I’m a huge Rich Medina, J.Boogie, and Chicken George fan to be on the same bill as these fellas is quite a pleasure. Oh, and Waxpoetics is pretty awesome too!
