Smiles Davis is not just some average DJ. She began her professional life at the age of 19 for the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, going on to do movement coaching for Lauryn Hill and back up dance for Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot. Unfortunately, an injury stood as an obstacle in her dance career, but part of her rehabilitation led to her discovering her love for turntables. She was able to parlay her natural musicality into DJing skills and quickly gained a following.

Smiles plays to the heart of any dance floor and gets a party hype by using loops, mash-ups, drops, and blends. She's held residencies in NY, Vegas (Cosmopolitan), and most recently her Monday night party, Mona's Room, at Tenants of The Trees in LA where she selected music for a rotating cast of who's who in music including Miguel, Mark Ronson, Rita Ora, & Leon Bridges. Smiles Davis has shared a stage with Tinashe, Gwen Stefani, The Knocks, Maroon 5, Questlove, and played festivals such as Bonnaroo, Coachella, Afropunk, Pitchfork, Symbiosis Gathering, & Airbnb Open. Smiles Davis single, "Morning Blues" featuring Bosco & Tola currently has over 500k streams on Spotify.

Her first major focus outside of her own music was producing for other artist. Smiles executive produced her first EP for Tabi Bonney's Le Bon Voyage earlier this year. The EP features Grammy Nominated sing Alice Smith and has accumulted over 750,000k streams. Most recently she had a credit on the acclaimed 88 Rising's Head in the Clouds Album Featuring Playboi Carti, Goldlink, Rich Brian, Joji & August Grant.
